New European Bauhaus

What makes this project “New” and “European” and what does it mean?
What does it have to do with Bauhaus?
How can we adapt it to small cultural organisations ?

“Bauhaus” was a design movement from the 20’s characterised by the combination of functionality and aesthetics.
A century later, the New European Bauhaus aims to do for European green transition what Bauhaus did for design; to reimagine the connection between art and its many functions and users. By bringing together sustainability, aesthetics and inclusion, it aims to create a new, sustainable European community.
The NEB is a response to the European Green Deal, aiming to eliminate EU greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, supporting competitive European economies without resource depletion and ensuring the inclusion of all people and areas of the EU.

The aim of LeCake is to take these reference tools to explore and simplify them in order to create application useful for cultural structures. We also ensured that the modules created have a generic value so that they can be used by everyone.

Learn about NEB through a 3-hour workshop-class.
First session is about knowledge of the basics
Second session offers to share experts testimonies
Third session is dedicated to ideation: how to transform this knowledge into practical projects
