NEB / session 2

The expert workshop is the second module of the NEB sequence. It is designed to allow the participants to learn from the perspective of experts that are choosen for their involvment with the topic from a specific angle.

Regarding the NEB more specifically, the expert workshop aims is to :

    – Put the knowledge acquired during the first session into perspective through different points of view and case studies

    – Learn from actors of the cultural sector who have diverse and specific approaches to NEB

    – Identify whether a cultural project is in line with the principles of the  New European Bauhaus

During the first part of the workshop, the expert is introduced. He or she will then be providing his or her insight on the topic. That can be through a live presentation, if the expert is present to the workshop, or through a recorded interview.

For the NEB workshop, we selected Alessandra Neglia, who is a project manager at Esseri Urbani, an italian oragnisation using contemporary art as a tool to stimulate urban and social regeneration brings work by emerging artists to the public during free outdoor exhibitions. Esseri urbani won NEB 2021 prize for Mobilisation of culture, arts and communities.

During the second part of the workshop, the group will discuss the presentation of the expert. They can exchange together and address questions and remarks to the expert if she or he is present, or to the organiser of the workshop.
