Local Networks – Ideation session

Project Design

Think about these questions and take a few notes for each of them:

  • What is the main goal or aim of your project?
  • Which target group do you want to address?
  • How are you going to reach your goal?
  • How are you going to reach your target audience?
  • What artistic / social / environmental / scientific … significance does your project have?

By now, you should have a rough sketch of your project’s content – now you can continue with different steps of the realisation process! Keep in mind that you do not need to work on them in a specific order.

Pathway

Subjects-specific knowledge & network partners

When planning a project, it is likely that you get in contact with topics that are not primarily your area of expertise – but they are a vital part of the idea you are working on. At this point, you might need to consult the knowledge of people who are experts in that field. Institutions of other areas can also be helpful to you considering they may be better equipped for certain tasks than you – this is a question of the division of labour.

  •  What kind of knowledge do you need to implement your project?
  •  Are there any local or regional players you know are primarily working in this field?

Influencing structures

As original and interesting your project idea might be, it does not exist separately from the world surrounding it. So keep in mind:

  • What external impact will your project have? What idealistic goal do you want to achieve (e.g. environmental justice, climate protection…)?

Ways of funding

Of course, you also need to think about how you are going to fund your project.

  • Are there foundations or companies in your city offering to fund projects like yours?
  • Are there European funding programs available that are suited to your project
  • Can you reach out to other stakeholders and actively ask them for funds?

Please think about these questions. If necessary, do a little research; but perhaps you have already worked on some of these issues and know how to tackle these challenges?

Pitch Deck

In the next session on July 5 at 1pm you will have time to prepare a pitch deck to present your project proposal to the consortium. Here is our pitch-deck template: Template Pitch Deck
